Colin - IIS, SQL, WINDOWS SERVER, VB, WEB ADMIN

Col lives in Sydney, Australia, having emigrated from the UK in 1981, where he has produced some very efficient sites along the Eastern Seaboard.

Colin's preference is Visual Basic and ASP. His skill set includes a good understanding of the Microsoft Operating systems and server based products; his 3 main focus areas being:

  • MS-SQL Server - Database design, Administration, Reporting Services, DTS, and Integration work.
  • IIS, and Web administration
  • Programming in VB and ASP

Some of Colin's projects include creating solutions using an SQL Server to send SMS message alerts to mobile phones when a 'business rule' is activated, sending Remittance Advices 'unattended' via email or fax depending on predefined business logic. These solutions use a combination of SQL, VBA, IIS and ASP technologies.

Col has also recently created an intranet solution to log support calls, phone calls, client information, contacts and documents along with a company calendar that interfaces with Outlook and a Service Application to monitor for the presence of a file, to trigger a database activity or perform some translation.

Col has an MCP in Microsoft SQL 2000.

Marc - PHP, MySQL, ORACLE

Marc lives in the deep Scottish countryside, from where he has produced some of the best user administration systems we've seen. Slick and effective, written in MySQL and PHP, they hide behind your site carefully keeping control. Fully flexible, they come with a variety of optional extras.

Marc is one of our main PHP programmers. Coming from a 'C' programming background, he has been programming for more than twenty years.

He is also one of our MySQL programmers and the two often go together.

When asked about qualifications, he says he doesn't have any 'because he is always one step ahead'. We've seen his work. We believe it.

It is easy to appreciate Marc's skill in his Membership Administration System, if you've registered with us, you've seen it in action.

Because Marc's work is generally 'in the background', it's difficult to point you anywhere for examples, but his work drives such sites as www.childreninscotland.org.uk and the United Nations Rwandan Warcrimes Tribunal.
